Mumbai, May 28: The education department in the state has decided to give free education up to class XII in state educational institutions to children who lost both parents to Covid-19.
It is estimated that more than 90 children lost both parents, while more than 2,000 are without one parent.
Meanwhile, for students who lost one parent, school education minister Varsha Gaikwad said the department may consider free education.
