Kasargod: 5.17 kg gold seized from passengers

Kasargod, Jun 26: The customs officials at Kochi Nedumbassery airport recovered 5.17 kg gold that was illegally brought into the country from abroad, on Friday June 25.

711 grams of gold was seized from Abdul Salam, a resident of Kasargod, and 948 grams from Yasser Arafat from Malappuram. Two kilograms of gold was found in the possession of Rashid from Malappuram and 998 grams of gold from Mustaq. 499 grams of gold was found in the possession of from Abdul Rahman from Malappuram and 499 g rams from Abdul Rahman.

All the five have been arrested.
