Bengaluru: Forest officials arrest suspected poacher, seize hunting weapons

Bengaluru, Jun 27: Forest officials on Jun 25 arrested an alleged poacher identified as Balaraju, a resident of Thataguppe village, located along Kanakapura Road near the Bannerghatta National Park. 
 
The officials also seized weapons and other materials used in hunting wild animals from his possession. Balaraju was remanded him in judicial custody by the court.
 
 
Three other suspects identified as John, Antony Raju and Naveen are on the run, said Ganesh V, range forest officer, Ragihalli. 
 
A case has been registered against the arrested under the Wildlife Protection Act in this connection.
