Byndoor, Jun 29: “The taluk of Byndoor has many rural areas. People living in the taluk are facing mobile network issue due to which students and public have to wait in hilly areas during rain. Some even travel several kilometres in order to get network. In addition, they have to bear with the attack of wild animals sometimes. This has come to my notice. I have discussed this matter with network operators to resolve the issue,” said MLA B M Sukumar Shetty.

MLA Shetty spoke with the network operators of the taluk at his residence at Vandse Nempu on Monday, June 28. He instructed the operators and said, “In many areas of Byndoor constituency there is mobile network issue. People are facing communication problem. At present due to Lockdown College and school education is going through online. So students need the mobile network. So the issue should be resolved immediately.”

“In order to install new mobile towers, the operators are facing the issue of land that is converted as it is the rule. Appeal is sent to DC and chief secretary of the state to give relaxation in this matter. I have spoken to the PDOs of Gangolli and Katbelthur gram panchayats who were not issuing NOC. They are instructed to resolve the issue immediately and give permission to install towers,” he said.
