Kundapur: Entry, exit at NH near Bobbaryanakatte, NHAI officials visit site, assure provision

Kundapur, Jun 29: It seems the demand for entry and exit to national highway (NH) at Bobbaryanakatte of the taluk is on the verge of getting realized. Higher officials of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) visited the spot on Tuesday June 29 and promised that they will make provision for the same. The officials visited the spot as per the instructions of MP Shobha Karandlaje.

The officials of NHAI have agreed to provide entry to service road from the highway near Kundapur LIC for vehicles approaching from Kota, on the way to Udupi on service road of Kundapur Shastri Circle, entry to national highway from service road at the same spot and entry to vehicles approaching from Byndoor and moving towards railway station and Basrur at the same spot.

The officials also assured to make provision for public movement through the underpass at Basrur Moorkai after installing two speed breakers.

President of Kundapur town municipality Veena Bhaskara Mendon, Kundapur Mandala BJP president Shankar Ankadakatte, chief secretary Sathish Poojary Vakwadi, district BJP secretary Sadananda Balkoor, Yuva Morcha Kundapur president Avinash Ultoor, vice president of town municipality Sandeep Kharvi, president of Kundapur planning authority Vijay S Poojary, president of standing committee Shekhara Poojary, town municipality members Girish G K, Rohini Uday Kumar, CPIM leaders H Narasimha, Suresh Kallagara, member of Railway welfare committee Ganesh Puthran, Vivek Nayak, Rajesh Kaveri, eminent leaders of BJP Sunil Shetty Herikudru and Sudhir K S were present.
