Mangaluru: Black fungus infection claims a life in district

Mangaluru, Jun 30: On Tuesday June 29, no new black fungus cases were reported from Dakshina Kannada district. However, one person who was suffering from the infection died while another person, who was cured, was discharged from the hospital

Dakshina Kannada district has 27 active black fungus cases. Eight of them belong to this district while 19 cases relate to patients who came from neighbouring districts for treatment.

So far, 36 infected persons were discharged. Due to black fungus, so far, 19 have lost their lives. Four among them were from this district.

No new cases were reported from Udupi district on Tuesday. The district has four active black fungus cases.
