Chikballapur: Yeddyurappa Trying to Cover Up, says Moily on Illegal Mining

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SB)

Chikballapur, Sep 5: Union minister for law and justice M Veerappa Moily said that to cover up the state government's failure in checking illegal mining, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa was making allegations against the Centre and its ministers.

He was speaking to media persons after inaugurating Suvarna Gram Yojane at Yerramappali in Bagepalli taluk here on Saturday September 4. Chief Minister was misleading people by making statements directing that central and some Congress ministers are involved in the illegal mining in state.

He reiterated that the centre was firm on controlling illegal mining and had therefore constituted a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to probe the matter. With setting up of the commission, the centre has used a major weapon in its armoury to curb illegal mining, he stressed.
