Haveri, Jun 30: In a bizarre incident, an eleven-month-old infant lost his life when a coconut fell on his head.

The incident happened at Hamsabhavi gram, Hirekerur taluk, here, on Tuesday. The deceased was Tanveet, son of Hamsabhavi residents, Mallikarjuna Valmiki and Mala.

The coconut fell on the child's head whilst his mother fed him lunch in front of their house. “The child who was severely injured was admitted to Davanagere hospital, but he died without responding to treatment,” said Hamsabhavi police station personnel.

Sad to hear the news. Now punishment for the coconut tree by Indian courts for committing this natural murder is cut the tree.

No one to blame. It's destiny. May the soul of the child rest in peace and may the God give strength to the parents to bear this irreparable loss.
