Udupi: Infosys provides dist administration with Rs 70 lac worth medical equipment

Udupi, Jul 1: Infosys handed over Rs 70 lac worth of medical equipment to deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh at his office on Thursday, Jul 1. The equipment consisting of 10 oxygen concentrators and 10 ventilators were donated by Infosys to the district administration.

Infosys had donated similar equipment responding to the request by district administration during the first wave of coronavirus. The deputy commissioner thanked the head of Infosys for their noble gesture.

The DC said that five ventilators and oxygen concentrators among them will be provided to Udupi district hospital, two ventilators and oxygen concentrators to Kundapur taluk hospital and three ventilators and oxygen concentrators to Karkala taluk hospital.

Additional deputy commissioner Sadashiva Prabhu, Infosys Mangaluru division manager, Vasudeva Kamath and Sandeep D’ Silva were present.
