Bengaluru, Jul 5: Tourism minister C P Yogeshwar, who dropped hints a few days back that he would stop demanding the replacement of the chief minister and strike a truce with him, again raised the voice of the revolt. The trigger came from the zilla and taluk panchayat reservation issue. Yogeshwar, who had carried out a rebellion against the chief minister with the support of some others, has commented that H D Kumaraswamy’s advice is being given prominence against his own.
Yogeshwar stated that the reservation list for the zilla and taluk panchayat elections have been prepared in consultation with and as per the advice of former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy. He also indirectly criticized efforts being made to transfer chief minister Yediyurappa's power to his son, duly reminding that the Dasara Ambari which was carried in the past by elephants named Balaram and Arjuna, is now being carried by elephant Abhimanyu. He remarked that just because Balaram carried it does not mean that the baby elephant will inherit the right.
On the issue of complaint filed against minister, Sriramulu's personal assistant by chief minister's son, Vijayendra, he opined that Vijayendra could have directly spoken to Sriramulu before filing the complaint. He also sympathised with Ramesh Jarkiholi, saying that he has become victim of a conspiracy. At the same time, he asked media persons not to project him as anti-Yediyurappa. "I too had made efforts to see him as the CM. Situation has changed and change is a natural phenomenon," he remarked.
Yogeshwar wondered to whom he can relate his problems, adding that he does not feel that his own government is in power, indicating that his words are not being respected in the government. He said that the national leadership of the party is capable, and pointed out that three chief ministers have changed within four months. He said he has full faith in the top leadership, but refused to comment about Vijayendra, pointing out that he has no official position in the government.
