Mangaluru: Police arrest accused for theft, violent transportation of cattle

Mangaluru, Jul 6: The Bajpe police raided a vehicle near Sunkadakatte and took into possession a pick-up vehicle, two bullocks and two accused. The animals were reportedly stolen and being transported in a violent manner.

The police were tipped about the theft of cattle and carrying them in a violent manner. The arrested accused happen to be Muhammed Mustafa (42) from Tarikambla, Bajpe old airport road, and Mohammed Haneef (48). The value of the animals has been estimated at Rs 50,000 and the vehicle to be four lac rupees.

The operation was conducted by Bajpe police inspector, Sandesh PG and police sub-inspectors, Raghavendra Naik, Poovappa and Kamala.
