Mangaluru: DK registers two more cases of black fungus infection

Mangaluru, Jul 7: On Tuesday July 6, two new cases of black fungus infection were detected in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district. The infected persons hail from Chikkamagaluru and Haveri districts.

DK district has 32 active black fungus cases as of now. Seven among them pertain to Dakshina Kannada and 25 are from other districts. As many as 36 have so far been discharged from the hospitals, both private and government. So far, 21 people including five from DK have died of this disease.

In the meanwhile, there were no new black fungus cases on Tuesday in Udupi district where seven cases are active.
