Davanagere: Teacher suspended for clicking selfie with midday meal assistant

Davanagere, Jul 9: The department of education has suspended a teacher for clicking selfie in the company of midday meal assistant of the school and uploading the same in the social media website. The accused happens to be Anjaneya Naik, Kannada teacher of the government lower primary Urdu school of Goguddu village Jagalur taluk in the district.

The teacher in question reportedly got a selfie of a lady assistant cook on February 15 with him, but also misbehaved with her in the school. The villagers already were angry at him for utilising the services of the students to get tobacco, gutkha etc from shops.

Midday meal assistant, Shakinabi, had filed complaint about the teacher's misbehaviour. A police complaint was filed a few months later in Jagalur police station after which the matter was brought to the notice of the education minister and officials of the department.
