Byndoor, Jul 12: “Ashok Kumar Shetty, an active worker of BJP, never worked for the party for the sake of position and power. He joined to serve. He played a stellar role in the organization of the party as he came from an RSS background. In addition to the party, the development of the village was important for him. Rajesh Uppinakudru, an active member of RSS, who died suddenly, was involved in the activities of RSS and had managed the responsibilities given to him by Sangh in a neat manner. The death of Ashok Kumar Shetty and Rajesh Uppinakudru is a loss that cannot be filled,” said Byndoor MLA B M Sukumar Shetty.

Sukumar Shetty spoke, after offering floral tributes to Ashok Kumar Shetty and Rajesh Uppinakudru, in the condolence meeting that was held for both by BJP Byndoor Mandala at Navunda Malasa Mangalya Arcade on Sunday July 11.

Paying homage to the departed souls, Muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “Ashok Kumar Shetty had a lot of faith in rural development and Panchayat raj system. He had more concern about organizing the party and the development of the village. As a professional photographer, he was very friendly with his customers and the leader of photographers. Rajesh Uppinakudru, the other activist who left us, played an important role in organizing the party. During Covid, he had helped people immensely. In addition, he was at the forefront of the BJP vaccination campaign and Ram Janmabhoomi campaign. Let God grant eternal peace to these departed souls and give their families the strength to bear the pain of their separation.”

Saha Karyavaha of RSS Mangaluru Sudhir Siddapura and president of the coastal development authority Mattaru Rathnakara Hegde offered tribute to the departed souls.

Chief secretary of BJP, Byndoor Mandala Priyadarshini Devadiga welcomed the gathering. Mandala president Deepak Kumar Shetty did the introductory speech. Lecturer Vishwanatha compered the programme. District BJP chief secretary Sadananda Uppinakudru rendered the vote of thanks.
