Kundapur, Jul 12: “The contributions to literature by Parvati G Aithal, author in five languages is valuable. ‘Suragange’, the book by her, has helped to know her works better,” said drama actress and author Poornima Suresh.

She was speaking after releasing the book ‘Suragange’ consisting of the introduction to the various works of Parvati G Aithal published by Janaprathi Prakashana and edited by Narendra S Gangolli. She said that Parvati G Aithal should receive more appreciation for her service to Kannada literature and translation.

Kundapur R N Shetty pre-university college English lecturer, author Sumati Shenoy said that the books such as ‘Suragange’ are inspiring to upcoming authors. “The book should reach a large number of people in order to know the value of the works,” she said.

Author Parvati G Aithal, science books author Gangadhar Aithal, and ‘Suragange’ co-editor Nagaraj Vandse were present.

Janaprati Prakashana felicitated Poornima Suresh, Sumati Shenoy and Narendra S Gangolli on the occasion.

Book publisher Subrahmanya Padukone welcomed the gathering. Narendra S Gangolli gave an introduction. Vinaya Kanjoor compered the programme. Co-editor Sriraj Acharya thanked everyone.
