Mangaluru, Jul 12: SCDCC Bank to waive the Rs 1 lac agriculture loan of farmers who succumbed to Covid, said president SCDCC Bank, Dr M N Rajendra Kumar.
Addressing media here on Monday, July 12, Dr M N Rajendra Kumar said, "As many as 152 customers of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi who have availed agricultural loan and passed away due to Covid will have Rs 1 lac waived off from their loan amount."
On July 14, the Raitha Spandana event will be held in SCDCC Bank to distribute various forms of loans to the farmers. The program will be inaugurated by the minister of cooperation, S T Somashekar who will distribute loans to the farmers. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel will distribute loans to the fisherman, district in-charge minister, Kota Srinivas Poojary will distribute loans to the self-help groups.
MLAs U T Khader, Vedavyas Kamath, Dr Bharath Y Shetty, Umanath Kotian, mayor Premananda Shetty will grace the occasion.
