Udupi, Jul 13: “Our party workers have served people day and night, distributed oximeters and provided ambulance service. They also performed post funeral rites of orphan bodies. As many as 38,000 ration kits have been distributed in the district,” said BJP district president Kuilady Suresh Nayak after inaugurating the party workers’ their special meeting at Town Hall Ajjarkad here on Monday July 12

He said, “Party activists have served the society with keen interest and the same work spirit will continue. Our next goal is winning all the seats in the local panchayat elections.”

Moodbidri-Mulky MLA Umanath Kotian said, “All are facing problems due to lockdown. During this pandemic period, party activists have responded to the problems of the people. Our next aim is to win the panchayat election and these meetings are the preparation for the same. When we get close to people, they will make us win.

“Another intention of such a meeting is to introduce Prime Minister Narendra Modi projects and schemes to the unorganized labourers. When the party and union is developed, party workers will grow. If you work sincerely and have luck, these two will help you to get a good position in life,” he said.

The party paid homage to the departed souls of the party.

Mattar Ratnakar Hegde, president, Coastal Development Authority, Yashpal Suvarna, general secretary, OBC wing, Sadananda Kappettu, Kutyar Naveen Shetty and others were present.
