Govt ready to establish IT park in Hubballi Gokul Road with private collaboration

Bengaluru, Jul 13: Deputy chief minister and minister for higher education as well as IT/BT, science and technology and skills empowerment, Dr C N Ashwath Narayan has said the state government is ready to establish another IT park in Hubballi Gokul Road in collaboration with the private sector.

Dr Narayan, who visited the Hubballi IT Park on Tuesday, interacted with the entrepreneurs in the tech park and promised to look into their problems, including repairs of building and other urgent works.

He said the state government proposes to entrust the maintenance and other overall supervision of the IT parks to the Association of Tech Companies and said the state government wants to encourage the IT companies by charging them lower rentals than the prevailing market rates.

KEONICS managing director, S N Siddaramappa, in his introduction, highlighted the problems of maintenance and upkeep of the tech parks.

Hubballi KEONICS manager, Avati, MLC S V Sankanur and others were present at the meeting.
