Mangalore, Sep 16: ‘Pingara’, the Kannada weekly published from the city, invites entries from individuals and organizations for the ‘Pingara Rajyotsav Award–2010’. Entries can also be sent on the
basis of recommendations, stated their press release.

Individuals or organizations of coastal Karnataka who have made their mark in the state, nation or international sphere, will be shortlisted to for the award to be conferred during a glittering function scheduled to be held at the Town Hall here.

Previous recipients include K Dayanand Pai in 2005, Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman, Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri, in 2006, Walter Nandalike, editor-in-chief, www.daijiworld.com, in 2007, Grace Pinto, managing director, Ryan International Schools, in 2008 and Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmastala, in 2009.
