Mangalore: Workshop on 'Curriculum for Peace Education' Inaugurated

Mangalore Sep 16: A three day workshop on “Curriculum for peace education” organized
by Sahaaya, an institution for Karnataka Christian Education Society and India Peace
Centre, an inter-religious centre for peace initiatives, Nagpur was inaugurated on Thursday September 16.

Inaugurating the programme, Mangalore City Corporation commissioner Dr K N Vijayprakash at Karnataka Christian Educational Society (KAECS) here said that people today are busy hampering social development in a bid to help or profit for themselves. He also expressed ire on the way the MCC officials were functioning without understanding common man's problems.

Professor Pushparaj, former head of the department of inter-religious studies M K University Madurai said that everyone should take responsibility to change society, Anything to be vital we have to make it local, he observed.

Karnataka Theological College (KTC) principal Dr Hannibal Richard Cabral presided. India Peace Centre Nagpur, director Dr D John Chelladurai and public relations officer KACES Fr Sandeep Theophil were also present.
