Mangalore, Sep; 18: Both Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts received only some rains on Friday September 17 morning. Thereafter, cloudy weather persisted till afternoon, following which, sun shone brightly, bringing relief to the people, who were troubled by extended rainfall.

The average rainfall on Friday in the coast was around one cm. The meteorological department has predicted good rains that might exceed 65 mm during the next two days.

Uttara Kannada as well as a few North Karnataka districts received more rains as compared to the coast on Friday.
