Bantwal: Mani PHC to be upgraded at cost of Rs six crore – MLA Rajesh Naik

Bantwal, Aug 2: “A proposal for Rs six crore worth works has already been submitted to the government to upgrade Mani primary health centre (PHC). It will be upgraded soon,” said Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadiguthu.

He was speaking after inaugurating free Covid vaccination camp held at Mani Karnataka High school under the aegis of Mani gram panchayat, Apollo speciality hospital Bengaluru, primary health centre Mani, Karnataka High school, Mani, Scouts and Guides and Rotary Club Bantwal.

He assured of a package of Rs ten lacs for the development of Mani Karnataka High School road.

“One lac and 70 thousand vaccines have been administered in the taluk so far. Nearly 90% of people above 60 years of age are vaccinated. Everybody in the state will be vaccinated under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi before December. The capacity of a person can be gauged only during difficulties. I am glad that the name of the prime minister is included among them in the world,” he said.

Mani gram panchayat president Balakrishna Alva, Kodaje presided over the programme. Mani Vidhayabhivardhaka Sangha president Kiran Hegde, vice president Mohammed Habeeb, secretary Ibrahim K, Mani scouts and guides' organization’s president Prahlad Shetty Jadthila, Bantwal Rotary club secretary Dhananjay Baliga, Apolo speciality hospital Bengaluru PRO Ganesh Nagaraj and Ayush, headmaster B K Bhandary, primary health centre’s medical officer Shashikala and staff members were present.

Bengaluru’s private TV channel staff Mani Badruddin who helped to hold vaccination camp utilizing CSR funds on recommendation from the MLA was appreciated.
