Mangalore: Subrahmanya Only Place in Coast to Get Good Rains

Mangalore, Sep 20: Temple town, Subrahmanya, and places surrounding it, were the only places in the twin districts to get good rains on Sunday September 19. The coast otherwise remained dry for most part of the day, except for light rains in the morning.

Heavy rains, which started to lash Subrahmanya region at around 7 pm on Sunday, extended late into the night. The hinterlands in the state accounted for most of the rains, with Shedabal in Begaum district receiving 15 cms of rain.

The meteorological department has predicted light to normal rains in the coast and a few places located in the hinterlands during period till Tuesday morning.
