Mysore: Siddu Recommends H Vishwanath for KPCC Presidentship

Mysore, Sep 20: Leader of the opposition in the assembly, Siddaramaiah, who has already resigned from his position, owning moral responsibility for the party’s debacle in Kadur constituency, said that the post of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) should be given to local MP, H Vishwanath.

His suggestion came during the inaugural of the renovated central bus stand of the city on Sunday September 19. “H Vishwanath is a senior leader. He should be offered the post of the presidentship of the party’s state unit,” he said, in his address.

Earlier, he praised the functioning style of transport minister, R Ashok. “You have been working efficiently. If you continue to sustain your efficiency, you will get the post of the deputy Chief Minister,” he commented. Reacting to this comment, MLC, G Madhusudan, invited Siddu to join BJP, promising him that he would be made the deputy Chief Minister.

Reacting to this invitation, Siddu said that he had already worked in that post in the past and that he does not nurse that ambition anymore. “There are many aspirants for ministerial berths in your own party. One of them can be given that post. If MLC, C H Vijayashankar from here is made a minister, you will serve the cause of social justice too,” he said. These exchanges occurred at the dais of the bus stand inaugural, in the full public and media glare.
