Kasargod: Student Burnt Alive in House Fire

Kasargod, Sep 21: Ambika (18), an eleventh grade student of Kaloyott government higher secondary school near Kanhangad, was burnt alive when her house caught fire all of a sudden, on Sunday September 20.

The girl, who was the daughter of Narayanan from Ayambara Katyana, was alone in her house when the fire broke out. Reportedly, she had died before the neighbours, who saw flames rising out from her house, came to her rescue. It could not be ascertained as to how her house caught fire all of a sudden.

A case was registered in Bekal police station. Post mortem was conducted at Periyaram medical college hospital.
