Mangalore: Tipper Accounts for Another Life

Mangalore, Sep 22: Coming in the wake of a series of accidents involving tippers, a motor bike rider was crushed by a tipper truck near Jokatte Cross in Bykampady on the outskirts of the city at about 7.30 pm on Tuesday September 21. The deceased has been identified as Gokuldas (49), a resident of Ashoknagar in the city.

Gokuldas, it is said, was moving on his bike in connection with an official assignment. He was working as supervisor for a firm doing contract work for New Mangalore Port Trust. Reportedly, the tipper, after knocking down his bike from behind, crushed him under its wheels thereafter.

Gokuldas is survived by wife and son. A case was registered in Panambur police station relating to this accident.
