Udupi, Sep 22: The first stage of district-level group bhajan singing contest in preparation to all India contest for various Bhajan Mandals across the country will be held at Janardhan temple auditorium, Ambalapady, here from Wednesday September 29 to Thursday September 30.
Dasa Sahitya Project of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has embarked on bhajan programmes for the first time to mark the 30th Founder’s Day celebrations. The programme also aims at popularizing Haridasa literature and rejuvenate traditional bhajans under the leadership of special officer vidwan Ananda Thirthaachar Pagadal.
The first stage of the district-level contest will be inaugurated here on Wednesday at 10.00 am and will conclude on Thursday at 4.30 pm.
