Bangalore, Oct 18 (PTI): A phone call received by biotechnology major Biocon this morning that a bomb would go off in one of the firm's buildings here turned out to be hoax, police said.
A six-hour search was conducted by two bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs in the entire Biocon premises, including Biocon Park, spanning 110 acres and no explosive was found, they said.
The call comes close on the heels of one to the City Police Commissioner's office last week about a bomb being planted there.
