Boys tested positive for drugs? This drug menace I feel is not taken seriously. It has already started impacting our younger generation. Why was the number plate missing? Is it because it was just bought and registration number was not available?

@ Mayya..., you should have the courage to ask your question to ADANI... (alleged nationalist business man... who is indebted to Hindustan's PSU banks to the tune of Rs 1.43 Lac crores).....!!!!!, the drugs would have been facilitated from port managed by his Co's... Jokara Media is mute.....

Dear ca girish from M'lore/dxb, Don't get carried away by Congi propaganda. Ports security is managed by central agency. There is an elaborate set of agencies who manage the port infrastructure. Maintaining infrastructure and who monitors what comes in are independent. Want to get a realistic understanding of this, decide to visit New Mangalore Port Trust (every corner of it) and you would know what a daunting task it is. I am sure, same is true also everywhere else, and may be it would be better organized. But all functions are likely to be same, just like airports are likely to be. On a completely different note, drug menace is a serious concern especially because no money in the near future will be paid as aid to Talibans. Add to this a deep rooted market for such products, you would know what I am talking about.

Adani's job is limited to maintenance and administration of the port premises. His henchmen cannot touch incoming or outgoing goods without the connivance of the customs officers who are Central Govt. employees. Shipments are inspected and seized or released by customs officers and when the news is reported in the media obviously the confiscated goods go the Central Excise Dept.

Good job by the police. Students never inform at home, where they go ? How they go ? Why they go ? With whom they go ? Whether these Students boys and girls take drugs or alcohol parents never know even at home. If any accident happens or murder or rape or girls getting pregnant that time parents wake up and give complaint. That time, will be too late and some may get into depression and heading towards some other steps. I appreciate BD for their timely intervention and save our youngsters....Freedom should be given to children but not to this extent. Parents should know who are the friends of their children when they look after every need of their child. Every parent should retain that much right. Later, its useless to blame the college authorities or others for no fault of theirs....Its given to understand, some Students never pick the call of parents even in late hours of the night. I am surprised how our students learn bad things/vulgarity/foul language...when our college administration/ our professors/lecturers/teachers of school/colleges take so much effort to train our youngsters systematically and in discipline, love and care ...!!!

Enlightning comment by Cynthia, Dk. Yes Parent must know their children activities, friends and other things. I made a home rule to my children Cynthia, as long as you live with us we must know what you are doing where you all are going. Once you start to live separately it's upto you. Else I feel we the parents at risk about our children.

    Mon, Oct 04 2021

Mr. Crasta, you are right. As long as children study and under the care of the parents, parents should know the details of the money where they are spending or account of how they spent the money which is given to them. Once they work also, parents should have overall details of their whereabouts if they stay outside till they are settled. You cannot leave them as they will be immature in many things and need the support and guidance of the parents even if they dont stay with you all. If anything happens to the children when they are staying outside (god forbid) loss and pain is for parents.....Everyone has their individuality. In the meantime, they should be allowed to live rather than being caged at home...i mean to say...know their friends and allow them for a meal with their college friends or a movie etc but with your knowledge.....Once outing is done ...keep inquiring where they are.....when they will reach home.....if possible can go and pick them up....such things develop a sort of confidence in them....They think our parents are with us....so on. Give money and just leave them...

These believers always rely on their own circular logic. As far as the Diktats are concerned, there are one too many. For eg: women are forced to have a dress code. the womenfolk are not allowed to go outside without a male companion. they are not supposed to have premarital sex. however, they create exceptions to suit them. may be according to them, the rules on women does not apply to Kuffar women as they are not chaste( according to their beleeifs). sadly there is no proper debate on religion. I am an agnostic in beleif and understand their hypocrisy.

It is a question of consuming and selling drugs (not interfaith friendship) ,if there was no hanky-panky why was the car not having a number plate.Instead of checking tinted glass , insurance and emmision priority should be given to checking "no number plate" and fake number plates , these are the vehicles used for illegal purposes and they cause harm not to one person but the whole society. This should be done with a element of surprise ( no prior announcement) and vigorously in certain notorious areas. If there is intelligence in the first place, only then intelligence gathering is possible.

First it was ‘love jihad’. Now, the latest conspiracy to find a footing in India is ‘narcotic jihad’, after a bishop alleged Christians were being drugged by Muslims to convert. On September 8, addressing the laity on the occasion of the Eight day lent of Mary, Mar Joseph Kallarangatt, Bishop of Pala, a town in the southern Indian state of Kerala, claimed a section of Muslims were using “love jihad” and “narcotic jihad” to lure Christians to convert to Islam. Reading his circular, Pala diocese of the Syro-Malabar Church, one of the largest Christian denominations in Kerala, warned against socialising with Muslims, effectively aligning with the views of Hindu nationalist groups.
