Karkala: Incessant Rains Cause Severe Damage

Karkala, Oct 22: Low-lying areas of the taluk have been inundated due to incessant rain being observed since last night till evening.
 
Crops in Hirgana, Kervashe, Nitte Kemmannu, Kallya, Bola, Nandalike, Erlapady, Neere, Inna, Palli, Ninjur have been washed away by the rain. Crops which were flooding away with the rain water in Inna were saved with the help of two boats.

Temple premises in Nandalike have been submerged. A wall of a house in Inna collapsed while overflowing rivers in the taluk are threatening to cross the danger mark.
 
Tahashildar Jagannath Rao and Revenue officer K P Nayak have visited the affected places to inspect the situation.
