HC asks state govt to file objections on plea against loudspeakers in 16 mosques

Bengaluru, Oct 6 (IANS): The Karnataka High Court has asked the state government to file objections within four weeks in connection with a petition against noise pollution caused by mosques, filed by the residents of a Bengaluru locality.

The matter was taken up by the Bench of acting Chief Justice S. C. Sharma on Tuesday.

The 32 residents of Icon apartment located on Thanisandra Main Road have filed a PIL petition against 16 mosques for causing noise pollution through loudspeakers and mikes.

The counsel appearing for the petitioners has submitted to the court that, earlier the court had directed the 16 mosques in the Thanisandra area to submit an affidavit stating that they won't use loudspeakers until they got consent in writing from the authorities in accordance with Noise Pollution Regulation and Control Rules 2000.

The counsel for mosques explained that the sound monitoring systems are in place in all 16 mosques, and they are not causing sound pollution as such. In case of sound pollution, it will come to the notice of the jurisdictional police and they will take action. It was submitted that all mosques have obtained permission in writing for the use of loudspeakers.

After hearing arguments and counter-arguments, the court directed the government to file objections to the petition. The court also stated that the validity of the petition will be decided on the guidelines of the National Green Tribunal in the next hearing.

The case has been adjourned to November 16.

Loudspeakers is haram , it is against sunnat according to the fekus themselves. Man’s best friend ‘the Dog’ is also haram according to ‘The Feku’ and yet now the andh-bhakts of the father of all scamsters, fekus and 40 chors wants to take the assistance of this noble animal. The dogs only yelp when they hear loud screaming at a high pitch. It frightens them. It also has to do with the frequencies and loudness of the sound , this affects all living things and the dogs merely give a voice to this health effect because they have more sense than the Fekus. But talking sense and rationality is not what fekus are taught since the time they are born. How can one talk sense to people who believe that the Lah has so much power that he can make the sun rise in the west, yet these jokaras bribe the politician and get them to install powerful highmast lights to light up their structures and not just that the bill in thousands also is paid from tax-payers money. Here is Ridvan Aydemir educating us on how the Sun Sets in a Muddy Spring on Earth.

Yes, coz Dogs too know the importance of call for prayer... The want people who are deaf to hear and be attentive... Have you ever seen Dogs howling for any other music or voice? That's coz Dogs know what is right and what is wrong, unlike humans who blindly follow satan.

Were there loud speakers in the 6thCentury? How were people invited to pray before loud speakers were invented?? India is a secular country and each & every citizen is allowed to pratice his/her religion. But we have to make sure that our religious practices do not become nuisance to those who don't follow our religion. Praying in the middle of the road on Friday's is another religious practise that needs to be stopped immediately. Courts must take due cognisance and stop this. Roads are for vehicles to ply, not for prayers.

We cannot be primitive. Bells, loudspeakers were used to invite people to pray. We need not disturb everyone because of our practices. It's right time: BAN BELLS AND LOUD SPEAKERS outside the walls of places of worship. Our gods will be happy that we are true and honest if we support this, I suppose! Temples, churches, mosques need to follow one rule.... no minority not majority. Just Law-ONE LAW for all.

First stop the vehicke noises round the corner as its their vehicle then why disturb others? Loud speakers are meant to invite people for prayers not just for Muslims alone, to all. Those who fear God they visit and offer prayer. It's a duty to call for prsyers 5 times a day to all humans to remember their God who have kept them alive for another day with food, air, water, health, children, parents etc.

Let's ban loudspeakers everywhere across including mosques, temples and even other places of worship. Just like 5 times a day sounds, temples also play bhajanes loud enough. No God wants anyone to yell out about him. In olden days call for prayers was needed, now everyone has mobiles at home and there are apps which are like alarm synchronised with time zones which give the call of prayer like alarm whenever it's time. Same applies for bhajanes also, play bhajanes inside houses not on the streets. Anything that obstructs the general life of people or causes stress to others isn't religion but fanaticism born purely out of egoism of people. And untill this nonsense of religion pleasing politics existent in our country,no fair justice will be delivered.
