Mysore, Oct 24: The annual feast of the Infant Jesus ‘Jesus- the Inspirer of the Youth’ will be held at Infant Jesus Shrine Pushpashrama, Mysore, on Sunday, January 9, 2011.


The festive mass will be celebrated in different languages. The Eucharistic celebration in English will be at 6:30 am, Malayalam 7:30 am, Konkani 9:00 am, Tamil 10:00 am and Kannada mass especially for
the sick and for their healing at 11:30 am.

The bishop of Bellary Fr Henry D’Souza will concelebrate solemn pontifical mass at 5.00 pm. The candle light procession and benediction “Annasantharpane” will begin at 6:30 in the evening.

In order to prepare the faithful spiritually for the annual celebration of the infant Jesus, the Novena will begin on December 31, 2011 and will end on the eve of the feast.

The Triduum, three days of prayer and preparations are also arranged on January 6, 7 and 8. The mass during the Triduum will be in Tamil, Kannada and English at 5:00 pm, 6:00pm, and 7:00 pm respectively.
