Mangalore, Oct 25: St Gerosa High School, Jeppu organized a refresher motivational workshop to the teaching staff at St Gerosa School Hall, Jeppu here on Saturday October 23.
The resource person Dr Ronald Cutinha, director of Samanvaya explained the duties of a good teacher, need of commitment and dedication, unearthing of the talents of students and so on citing various incidents, stories and through PowerPoint presentations.
The group discussion on ideal teacher, problems faced by the teachers, teacher-student relations and need of value education in schools was an important part of the workshop.
The correspondent of the school Sr Marceline Braggs presided. The headmistress of the school Sr Wilma Pinto welcomed, Juliana Madtha introduced the chief guest cum resource person and Genevieve Noronha proposed the vote of thanks. In all, 49 teachers participated in the workshop.
