Mangalore, Oct 28:  Vespers (known as Besp in Konkani) was held at Pakshikere Church, Kinnigoli here on Wednesday October 27, a day prior to the Parish Feast

Week-long programmes were held in the church premises to mark the golden jubilee celebration of the church.

Holy Mass was offered on the occasion and adoration was held. Fr Baptist Menezes, Episcopal Vicar of Udupi district was the main celebrant of the Vespers. In his message he said the main aim of the Vespers is to know the word of God. One should realize how important the word of God is, so as to gain strength, peace of mind and follow the right path in life.

Fr Alfred Pinto, vicar var of Kinnigoli deanery, and several other priests were present on the occasion.

Sponsors (Firzenth) for the feast were honoured. Fr Alban D’Souza, parish priest, thanked all the parishioners and donors who donated generously for various projects.
