Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Oct 29: In all likelihood, the state High Court will pronounce its verdict on the future of the 11 disqualified BJP MLAs on Friday October 29.

It may be recalled after the division bench of the High Court, to which the writ petitions challenging their disqualification moved by 11 BJP MLAs was referred to, had delivered a split verdict. Therefore, the issue was referred to a single-judge bench for final verdict, and Justice V G Sabhahit had heard the case last week.

Disqualified BJP MLAs, Gopalakrishna Beloor, Dr Sarvabhauma Bagali, S K Bellubbi, Y Sampangi, Nanjundaswamy, N V Nagaraju, Anand Asnotikar, H S Shankaralinge Gowda, Balachandra Jarkiholi, Raju Kage and Shivanagouda Nayak, had moved these petitions. Advocates, Raghavan, Ravivarma Kumar and B V Acharya, had appeared in the High Court on their behalf. On behalf of the BJP and the assembly speaker, Soli Sorabjee and Satyapal Jain had placed their arguments.
