Annual Parish Feast Celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, Alangar

Moodbidri, Oct 29: The annual parish feast of Holy Rosary Church, Alangar Moodbidri was solemnly celebrated on on Sunday October 24 with large particiption of parishioners .

Fr Vincent D'Souza, the parish priest of Bela was the main celebrant. Fr Harold Pereira preached two very meaningful sermon on Mother Mary. In all 25 priests concelebrated the mass.



On Tuesday October 26, vespers was held from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm. Fr Prem Prakash CSSR and the choir led by Harrry Tauro led the chanting of the psalms. The vicar forame Fr Austin Peris conducted the Bible service, preached and gave the blessing. This being a unique celebration a large crowd of people from surrounding parishes also attended it.

There were fireworks sponsored by a donor Francis Rasquinha. The church was very colorfully illuminated. There were two pirgents (sponsors) for the feast namely Faustine and Mary Menezes and Cynthia Correa.

Fr Basil Vas, the parish priest, Fr Anil D'Silva , the assistant, vice-president Clifford Aranha and secretary Valerian Sequeira thanked all the people.

A pocket edition of Infant Jesus novena was also released on the occasion for the devotees.
