Mangalore, Oct 29: The local unit of LIC observed the valedictory ceremony of social security month at a programme held in Srinivas Hotel here on Friday October 29.
In order to emphasize the message of social security particularly to socially and economically backward classes and rural poor, LIC celebrates the month of October every year as a social security month.
Sanjeeva Reddy, manager, in his welcome note said that LIC has succeeded in reaching the people of rural areas of the country.
Chandrashekar Naik, managing director of Mangalore Dairy, Uma Rao, Udupi divisional manager and K Madhav among others were present.
Uma Rao distributed the claim cheques to the nominees of the deceased.
