Mangaluru, Nov 8: The annual Vishukumar award – 2021 by Yuvavahini Mangaluru was presented to Rani Abbakka Tulu Adhyayana Kendra Bantwal president Professor Dr Tukarama Poojary on Sunday, Nov 7.

The award named after story writer, novelist, actor, director and journalist late Vishukumar who passed away after serving the languages of Kannada and Tulu was presented in the awards programme at Brahmashree Narayanaguru auditorium, Kolya, Mangaluru. Education scholar and dramatist Mahabaleshwr T Hebbar presented the award to Dr Tukarama Poojary and congratulated him.

Mangaluru MLA, former minister U T Khader, senior advocate T Narayana Poojary, R Padmaraj, Dr Ashalatha Suvarna, Shanker Suvarna, Venugoal Kolya, Yuvavahini central committee Mangaluru president Dr Rajaram K B, chief secretary Ashok Kumar Padpu, Kolya unit president Mohan Madoor, Vishu Kumar award committee convener Shashidhar Kinnimajalu and other office bearers were present.
