Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Nov 22: Dr Parvati Bhat and DR Keshava Bhat couple, who live in Balmatta Bridge Road in the city, have complained to the policemen that cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 2,40,000 have been stolen from their residence. They have guessed that the theft occurred between August 20 and November 20 this year.

On Saturday November 20, the couple searched for ornaments to attend a marriage function, but found that they were not at the place where they have kept for safekeeping. In addition, cash amounting to Rs 50,000 had also gone missing.

As Dr Parvati (67) had last worn these ornaments on August 20, it is suspected that someone who visited them thereafter had taken away the valuables. It was found that all the other things kept in the almirahs, cupboards etc., are intact.

Kadri policemen have registered a case. Investigation is on.
