Mangalore, Nov 23: The inaugural ceremony of renovated office of Pragathi Co-operative Society, Kulshekar was held at the convention hall on Monday November 22.
In his inaugural address, Alan C A Pereira, retired chairman of Bank of Maharashtra said that there is every need for making rural people aware of having an account in bank and co-operative society. Each member in a family of rural areas should be educated to understand the importance of having an account in bank, he added.
In his benedictory address, parish priest Fr Valerian Pinto recalled efforts put in by the administrators, staffs, and customers resulting in successful 20 years of the bank. He called upon everyone to sustain same spirit and unity.
Mandd Sobhann gurkaar Eric Ozario, chief guest on the occasion asked for same co-operation by the members and customers in the days to come.
Founder president P M Castelino was present. President Roy Castelino welcomed the gathering. Vice-president Vivian D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks. Director Sushil Noronha conducted the programme.
Jossy Sequeira, Lancy Rego, Joseph D’Silva, Flavy D’cunha, Winnie D’souza, Neema Sequeira and Annete Monteiro among others were present.
