Mangalore, Nov 29: It is gathered that M G Hegde, a Congressman known for his sharp wit and fluent oratory, is on his way out of Congress party. Reportedly, he is frustrated at the internal bickering within the party. This development has taken place at a time when there are allegations that Dakshina Kannada district Congress committee has overlooked upper classes while making appointments to various organizational positions.

Hegde confirmed to the media persons when contacted, that he has indeed been thinking of deserting the Congress. However, he allayed the speculation that he would be joining the BJP, stressing that there is no question of joining that party.

Hegde, who worked as a BJP activist after being influenced during student days by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideals, was known even then for his vocabulary and oratory. Hegde had distanced himself from the BJP because of differences of opinion with then BJP leader, Balraj Mudhok. When Hegde had participated in a programme of Hindu Yuva Sene in the city, the RSS had opposed him. Hegde had worked to build Hindu Yuva Sene along with Gunakar Shetty.

After joining the Congress in 1995-96, Hegde came to be known for his frontal attacks on the RSS and BJP, and his addresses used to be laced with sharp criticisms. He was close to B Janardan Poojary and has worked as the general secretary of district Congress and district spokesperson.

Mr. Hegde, first you left BJP, now you desert Congress. Can you name any one political party which works for the development of country and for its people ?
All are white washed graves....internally stinking to the core.
