Udupi, Nov 30: An impressive army of artistes are set to land here shortly, to perform at the programmes being organized as part of the felicitation programme of Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejavar Mutt on his attaining 80 years of age.
The programmes will be held from December 10 to 12 at ‘Sudharma’ dais erected near Rajangan here. After the conclusion of the daily meeting programmes, music, dance, and other programmes will be presented at this dais.
On December 10, Dr Vidyabhushan and troupe will present a programme of devotional music. On December 11, ‘Gayanalasya’, a programme of musical drama on the concept of Lord Krishna as envisaged by Haridasas, poets, orators etc., will be presented by Anoor Anantakrishna Sharma and his troupe of artistes, followed by a performance using scores of folk musical instruments.
Over 75 artistes led by Nirupama and Rajendra will stage a dance drama on divine sports of Lord Krishna during his childhood on December 12. On that day, a presentation of Ramayana story, ‘Ramakatha Vismaya’ through dance drama, equipped with technical skills seen in Disney Land in USA, will be staged, a release by Pejavar Swamiji Felicitation Committee said.
