Bangalore, Dec 7: Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission has announced revision of electricity tariffs within the state with effect from midnight today. The revised tariffs are as follows for areas covered by different electricity supply companies:
Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Company Mysore – 28.53 paise per unit
Bangalore Electric Supply Company Bangalore - 30.75 paise per unit
Hubli Electric Supply Company Hubli – 28.64 paise per unit
Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company – 29.48 paise per unit
Mangalore Electric Supply Company Mangalore – 26.63 paise per unit.
The government’s Bhagya Jyoti and Kuteera Jyoti schemes will be out of the purview of the revised tariff. The KERC, in its order, has also laid down that single phase power for at least 12 hours from 6 am to 6 pm should be provided to rural areas.
