Along with the new bridge on Netravati river, one more bridge will be constructed on Kumaradhara river at Uppinangady. The present bridge constructed at Panemangaluru is the third bridge. The earlier bridge was made of steel. In addition to these, one more bridge for railway track is also constructed.
KNR Construction Company has been given a deadline of November 22, 2023 to complete the work on 49-km stretch of NH including that comprises six lane flyover at Kalladka, service roads, underpass and overpass roads, and two huge bridges.
The new bridge at Panemangaluru will be wider than the earlier one. The earlier bridge is 10.4 meter wide, while the new one will be 13.5 meters and is being built at a height of 16 meter from the river.
