Mangalore: Foreigner Loses Valuables to Thieves

Mangalore, Dec 16: Two unidentified persons snatched away a bag containing valuables belonging to a foreigner on Monday December 14 night. A complaint to that effect, was filed with the policemen by Diana Poola Port Pinilla (24).

The incident occurred at around 10 pm on Tuesday, when Diana was walking towards her flat in Aryasamaj Road in the city. In her complaint, she said that she was alone on the road when two motor bike-borne youth snatched away the bag she was holding. Diana, a Columbian national, said that her bag contained Rs 4,000 in cash, two debit cards, a demand draft, an Italian identity card, two Columbian passports and other items.

The policemen have registered a case. Investigation is on.

    What a shame, government is spending money to educate people through add's to respect the tourists/oursiders/foregners to see our tourism grows,more visitors are the blessing for the nation businesswise,but one such incidence can do irrepairable damage for the hard earnde reputation.People must think twice before induliging in such crimes,be it national or foregner,nowadays getting a job which can fetch a decent earning to live a moderate life is not difficult at all,when one applies himself on whatever job he undertakes.As citizens we must take care of our children to be sober,well informed of such wrong doings to make our country a safe destination for all.

    We have proper security only when VVIPs visit and extra security for useless MLAs and MPs.

    Shame on these thugs. It is the image of our country and our city in particular. Hope police could nab these anti social elements and at least recover her lost passports and other legal papers so that she can return to her home country.
