Karkala, Dec 26: In a shocking incident, the brother of MLA Gopal Bhandary ended his life by jumping into a well here on Sunday December 26.
The body of the deceased, Umesh Bhandary, was found in a well near Hutthurke village, here.
MLA Gopal's mother Girija Bhandary who committed suicide a month ago was suffering from old-age related disorders over the last few years. Her son Umesh was depressed following her death which prompted him to take the extreme step, the sources reported.
A case has been registered at the Hebri police station and officials are investigating into the matter.
