Mangalore: Kadal Da Udal, a Tulu Music CD Released

Mangalore, Dec 29: Kadal da udal, a tulu music CD was released at the Don Bosco Hall here on Tuesday December 28.

Alva’s Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva released the CD. Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy former president Sitaram Kulal inaugurated the event.

Speaking on teh occasion, he urged the team to continue promoting Tulu language and culture through music. He also congratulated the team for donating part of the profits obtained through CD sales to orphanages.

Producer Mayur Shetty welcomed the gathering. Sudhakar Shetty, the composer and singer, and singer Ratnamala Purandar sang a song from the album.

Chandrahas Rai, the registrar of the Tulu Sahitya Academy was present.

The album comprises nine songs such as ‘Tulu naada porlu’, ‘Manas Dinji’, Yepa Yepa’, ‘Nina Porluda’, ‘Dane Dane’, ‘Soorya Kathnaga’, ‘Yerero Daane’ and ‘Kadalda Barit Bathe’ sung by Rajesh Krishna, Hemanth, Shashidhar Kote, Ratnamala Purandha and Sudhakar Shetty among others.
