Bantwal: Beltangady Woman Missing Case Solved - Spouse Found Murderer

Bantwal, Dec 30: In a joint operation, Tumkur and Bantwal police cracked the missing case of a woman from Beltangady.

The accused Lokesh (30), a native of Turuvekere in Tumkur is found to be the murdered. It can be recalled here that Mallika alias Meenakshi (23) from Beltangady was said to be missing with complaint being filed in Turuvekere police on March 14 this year. The suspicion of her being in relationship with his friend Ramakrishna led to the murder, it is learnt. Mallika was married to Lokesh a year back. 

The case was solved after the police traced Mallika's mobile phone on a person. The mobile was found by that person at a dhaba in Turuvekere and Lokesh during interrogation spilled the beans. After a couple of days Lokesh filed the missing compliant, police had found an unidentified body with a disfigured face.

Lokesh was arrested by Bantwal police on Tuesday December 28 and has been handed over to Turuvekere police.
