Daijiworld Media Network – Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Dec 31: Hasainar (67), a resident of Dasagadde near Peradala Jara in the district, and his wife, Asyamma (54), were electrocuted on Thursday December 30, due to the fact that electricity had started flowing through the clothesline near their home in the above village.

When Asyamma was as usual, trying to hang washed clothes on the clothesline, she suffered electric shocks, as electricity had begun flowing into the line through the cables of the pumpset motor which had been fitted in the well. Hasainar, who was working nearby, rushed to rescue his wife, but he too was electrocuted. Their daughter, Maimoorna, also rushed to help her parents, but was tossed away due to the force of the shocks. She is being treated in the local hospital.

Inquest of the bodies was conducted at the general hospital here. A case of unnatural death stands registered in Badiyadka police station.
