Bengaluru: Car goes up in flames, driver charred

Bengaluru, Mar 14: Due to short circuit, fire was started in moving car and soon the flames engulfed the entire car. A call centre employee who was driving the car was burnt alive in this incident. This accident happened on Saturday March 12 night.

This unfortunate accident happened near Channasandra bridge on Nice Road here. The deceased has been identified as Darshan (35), a resident of Uttarahalli. He is survived by wife and a daughter.

Darshan used to work in a call centre located at Tyagarajanagar. He was going back to his home in his car after visiting relatives staying on Tumakuru Road when fire was sighted in the air-conditioning system of his car. Darshan who got alert, stopped the car by the road side and tried to open the door but could not, it is learnt.
